Wanted a few current shots of my boys. You would have thought I was asking them to eat brocolli while cleaning their bathroom. No, just have to stand next to each other and smile a non-cheesey smile. The quicker you cooperate, the sooner we are finished. Closer, no closer, you both need to fit in the frame. Closer, closer...not that close, Austin! Austin, quit teasing your brother, he doesn't want you to pretend to be his girlfriend and kiss him. Andrew, lighten up, you were 11 once too, and not that long ago. It's overcast, why are you squinting? Yes, Andrew, I know you have homework to get to, not to mention facebook, guitar, spongebob and the likes. Austin, stop laughing...Andrew, stop being so put out. Stop it! STOP IT! SMILE!!! Okay, so I didn't get much cooperation, but I did snap a few...one I was even able to photoshop them closer together than they actually were (see third photo on project). I have never had their pics taken professionally, unless you count all those baby and toddler pictures at Penneys. To think how they used to cuddle up together and smile non-cheesey smiles for the camera person. Time to let someone else give it a try! Okay, so here is the project I used those photos on.
This project, while I've used it to accomodate three photos, can be used many different ways. You could use several smaller photos, I suppose one large one, but I don't think it would be as interesting. Black and white or sepia would look great too.
Here's the thing...I know it's early, but I am trying to get my December classes together now to avoid the stress during the holidays. How would you like to avoid some of the stress too? Wouldn't this make a great gift for someone who stumps you on what to get them each year? Actually, I think it would make a great gift for just about anyone. This class is called Home Decor - Canvas and is $34.99. I am scheduling it for Thursday, December 17th. Class fee includes EVERYTHING you need except for scissors, paper piercer, regular adhesive, glue dots, and some ink. I will supply all the unique mediums so you don't have to purchase any. Photos optional, but at this point you have plenty of time to pick some out and have ready for class. I will be adding more doo-dads between now and December too as I come across them. I had a blast making this project...yes, got my hands dirty, but it all washes right off. So don't wait, give me a call and get yourself signed up...limited space on this one. 805-714-5961
